Harry's Re-Opening

Those who follow Harry's on social media, have visited our website or who have stopped at the store to shop during the last several days realize that we have been closed since last Thursday due to three of our employees contracting Covid.  While our three employees are dealing with varying degrees of symptoms and remain in quarantine, the balance of our staff is symptom free and each has now had two negative Covid tests.  Our store has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized by a professional cleaning company and we now feel confident that we can safely re-open.  We are happy to announce that we will re-open our doors to customers starting tomorrow, Wednesday, November 18 at 10 am.  Our online store will also be available for curbside pick-up and local delivery.  We anticipate that we will operate during a modified schedule of 10 am to 7 pm through Thanksgiving.

As we navigate through the busy holiday season, we would like to remind you of our Covid safety policies which we ask that you follow so that we all remain safe:

  • Masks must be worn in the store at all times
  • Hand sanitizer will be available at the store entrance
  • We ask everybody to try to maintain a minimum distance of 6 feet from other customers and employees.  We realize it is not always easy to talk to people through a mask when maintaining proper distance, but for everybody’s safety, we must try.
  • The number of people who will be permitted within the store at the same time will be limited.  This could lead to short waiting lines to enter the store during the few days leading up to Thanksgiving when we typically get very busy.  We ask for your patience.

Thanksgiving Wishes

To put it mildly, 2020 has been a tough year.  But, we have found that as discouraging as things may seem, the many challenges we have faced only serve to illuminate all that we have to be thankful for more clearly.  First and foremost, we remain so thankful to you, our customers, for the support and patience you have shown throughout the year with a special shout out to those who have reached out to check on our sick employees over the past week.  Secondly, we remain beyond thankful for our local leaders, emergency responders, educators, essential workers and all of the people who have worked together to help our community navigate through these uncertain times.  Finally, we remain thankful for the countless acts of kindness that we have witnessed over the past year from customers and other members of the community as we have tried to assist the less fortunate among us.  Your contributions are an inspiration to us all.

This year Thanksgiving will be different.  Our gatherings will likely be smaller, and perhaps, a little less festive.  But, we hope that you all will still have the opportunity to enjoy your time with your family and look forward to a day when we get back to our usual traditions.

Happy Thanksgiving!
