Let the celebrations begin!

Today we start celebrating our 80th anniversary. Throughout the month we will have promotions, celebrations, and some surprises along the way. Be sure to keep an eye on our emails and social media to stay up to date.

Our first promotion will last all month long and will benefit a great organization in our community called Operation Hope. The good people that run this very special charity help our community’s most vulnerable and we could not be prouder to lend a hand. Through our Operation Hope rare whiskey fundraiser, we offer rare and hard to find bottles throughout the month with donations going directly to those in need.

Today, Friday October 1st, it all kicks off with our reverse auction and silent auctions (see below for the “lots”). The reverse auction items are the first bottles available for purchase and will remain on the block only as long as the most generous people allow them to remain. Each lot starts at its highest price and reduces by $100 per day until it is purchased. Need that bottle? Got deep pockets but no time for the Saturday releases? This is for you! The only question is when to pull the trigger. Wait too long and someone could beat you to the punch.

Tomorrow, Saturday, October 2nd kicks off our Saturday rare bottle release. Beginning at 8:00am we will offer 15-20 hard to find bottles on a first come, first serve basis. Each bottle has a donation built in to the price. When you make your selection, your will pay Harry’s the regular MSRP price for the bottle and the remainder of the price stated on the tag is a check that YOU write directly to Operation Hope.

For example:

There is a bottle of Old Rip Van Winkle 10yr available for $450.00. You will pay Harry’s $75.00+tx, you will then write a check for $375.00 directly to Operation Hope. You get the bottle and the tax write-off and they get the money they need to help our community. Win, Win!

What’s in it for us? Well first of all, this is the community that we love and we want to support it in any way that we can. We also get to see these highly collectible bottles go home with generous people. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing the smiles of the participants as they finally get their unicorn bottle. Finally, we get to puff out our chest because we know how much the monies raised will benefit and strengthen our town. Win, Win, Win
