WILLIAM MILLER

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Johnson & Wales University with two degrees in Hospitality Management in 1988, William has since spent his entire career in the retail wine industry. William joined Harry’s as the head of the wine department in 2001, and has since curated one of the best small producer selections in Connecticut. William delights in helping customers pair a meal with the appropriate wine and is known for being a highly sought after source of information for both novices and serious oenophiles alike.

PATRICK MONTELEONE

With a passion for cooking since he was a kid, Patrick started his career in the restaurant business before leaving to work in wine retail and eventually finding his way to Harry's in 2004.  First as a manager and then as an owner, Patrick has had significant influence on every aspect of Harry’s business including the introduction of Harry’s Wine School and our well-respected single barrel program.  When not at the store, Patrick enjoys preparing meals for family and friends and finding the perfect wine pairing.

SCOTT POLLACK

The grandson of our store’s namesake, Scott is the least visible partner of Harry’s.  Scott cut his teeth working in stock and as a cashier when he was in high school and home on college break, but has since pursued a career in finance and commercial real estate.  Scott is actively involved in the business behind the scenes with roles in finance, marketing and strategic planning and his 50 years of exposure to Harry’s have helped to ensure continued maintenance of the store’s culture.

RENZO KIAN

Originally hired to stock shelves in 2006, Renzo eventually became beer and spirits manager and recently became a Harry's owner.  Renzo has visited breweries and distilleries throughout Europe and the U.S. and has used his knowledge to become an advocate for Connecticut's craft beer industry.  Renzo has arranged a number of local beer festivals including Off-Shore Pour, the Harbor Brewfest and the Taste of Blackrock (the latter to benefit the Burroughs Center where Renzo has taught English as a second language).

KELSEY BEGLIN

Kelsey joined Harry's in 2014 as a cashier and quickly transitioned to a sales position in the beer department.  After expanding her palate sampling beer and spirits; Kelsey developed a taste for wine and moved to the wine department where she is now the Wine Room Manager.  She  enjoys Pinot Noir, Riesling and Champagne, but she believes that there is a wine for every drinker and especially enjoys helping customers to find the perfect wine to match their particular tastes.  Kelsey's hobbies include cooking and travel.

SCOTT TIBERI

Scotty has spent nearly his entire career in the wine and spirits industry including as the 20-year owner of a Westchester County wine store.  After selling his business, Scotty joined Harry's in 2014 and has been an important member of our wine staff ever since.  A self-described “anti-wine snob”, Scotty enjoys interacting with Harry’s customers no matter their level of wine knowledge.  Aside from his wine expertise, Scotty is an accomplished guitarist who has played at many well-known clubs and bars in New York City.

BRIAN BORSICS

A musician and teacher originally from Texas, the pandemic presented Brian the opportunity to transition from a 15 year career in musical instrument sales and private instruction in NYC to a wine sales position at Harry's. Brian enjoys tasting wine, but as an artist himself, he also appreciates the importance of craftsmanship in wine production and is a willing student of wine culture, science, and history.   It is not uncommon for Brian to offer his customers a fun fact or interesting anecdote to pair with their purchase.

MIA LUPO

After spending a decade in luxury retail, Mia joined the wine team at Harry’s to begin a new chapter in her career. An avid Francophile, Mia's passion for French language and culture led her to live and study abroad in Paris and Neuilly-sur-Seine. Her blog, New England Parisienne, serves as a creative outlet for her personal and professional pursuits. Mia loves expanding her palate by tasting food and wine pairings and when she’s not in store, Mia enjoys traveling and spending time with her family in Rhode Island.

TARYN PETERSEN

Our Head Cashier Taryn began her career in education, working as a building substitute in Stratford and eventually teaching math at the middle school level. Looking to take a short break from teaching, she applied to a job opening at Harry’s and realized that she enjoyed working with an adult population (and a cash register instead of a whiteboard) and she has been a key employee ever since. Taryn serves as the front of house manager, but her adaptability and quick study results in her playing multiple important roles at Harry's.

JANICE MONTELEONE

Owner's Wife and Office Manager Jan long ago left her paralegal files behind for a management role at Harry's.  Her responsibilities include purchasing management, inventory control and cash management. Of course, when the store gets busy she is likely to be seen pitching in at a register or wrapping gifts during the holiday season.  Jan oversees the administration of Harry’s Wine School and manages many of Harry's events.  Jan loves champagne and she enjoys food and wine focused travel with her husband Patrick.

MILLIE DEVITO POLLACK

Owner's Wife and Bookkeeper Millie is another one of the employees who keeps Harry’s running smoothly behind the scenes.  Millie brings her prior work experience in accounting and IT to serve a variety of roles at Harry's including bookkeeper, network and software troubleshooter, chief organizer and administrator of company policies.  Millie is also the property manager for Harry’s Corner, and utilizing the skills that she learned as the daughter of a contractor, she has been known to perform small repair jobs in the store.
