In what has become something of a tradition,  to celebrate this weekend’s “Fastest Two Minutes In Sports”, Harry’s will release a new single barrel bourbon. This year, we selected our barrel along with the winners of the Willy Wonka promotion from our previous Blanton’s barrel release.  For those who are not familiar, the Willy Wonka promotion was won by three single barrel buyers whose Blanton’s bottles contained a specific piece of artwork.  In February, the three winners and their invited guests joined us for a fun-filled evening where we toured Fairfield’s own chocolate factory otherwise known as BE Chocolate.  While there, we created and tasted chocolate with our hosts, master chocolatier Benoit Racquet and his wife Sylvie. This was followed by a wonderful dinner and barrel sample tasting at Brickwalk Tavern.

Now, the fruits of our labor are ready to be released and we are very excited to get the bottles in your hands and hear your feedback!

We will be releasing the first half of the barrel (100 bottles) online this Friday, May 6th at 9:30 pm (see link below). This will be done on a first come, first serve basis and will have a one bottle per person limit. Then, when we open the doors at 8:00 am on Saturday, May 7th, the other half of the barrel (100 bottles) will be offered in the store. This will be an in-person release and also limited to one bottle per person (no double dipping please).

In conjunction with this release, we have teamed up with BE Chocolate to offer a limited run of the chocolates we made with Benoit and Sylvie the night of our Willy Wonka promotion (previously only available to the winners) along with a version made with this newest offering. We were really blown away by both the quality of the chocolates we created that night and also the tremendous difference between the dark and milk chocolate profiles. Act quickly.  If we have learned anything from the collaborations we have done with BE Chocolate, it is that the chocolate sells very quickly.
