For those of you that wanted to be on the list, Congratulations, Mission accomplished! Going forward we will use this method more often to communicate with our whiskey community and to offer our single barrels.

At some point it became clear that even with our best intentions, during Covid having long lines of people was risky and we needed to at least temporarily, find a better method. If our Elijah Craig single barrel was an indicator, this worked pretty well so for the time being we will do it this way. Today, the mission is to make sure that we have each person that signed up for the first notification, knows that they are now included. Below are tasting notes for the Blanton’s selection and the guidelines for purchasing and limits.

First, the tasting notes:
The nose shows a lot of fresh notes including citrus, red berries and mint married to warm sandalwood tones and Sarsaparilla root. It is bright and lively with undercurrents of the expected brown sugar and vanilla. On your palate there is a peppery attack that quickly gives way to light and bright notes including many of the things that the nose hints at. The profile is perfect for spring with a friendly freshness that includes citrus, fresh red berries and cola. This one is made to sip neat, add water or an ice cube if you’d like but this one prefers to be by itself and fights water, so no ice necessary unless you want that spicey note to jump to the top and control the rest of its profile. A long supple finish will have you back for the next sip.

Here is how it works:
Tomorrow you will receive another email that will contain a link to the barrel on our website. If you follow the link when you receive it, the link will bring you to a page that shows it but it will say “sold out” until 9:30pm at which time it will go live and you will have your opportunity to purchase.

Each person will be able to purchase one (1) bottle of Blanton’s at a cost of $56.99 per bottle. We expect that this barrel will sell out very quickly so do what you can to be available right at 9:30. Our last barrel sold out in less than 10 minutes and we think this one will go very quickly also. If by some chance it makes it through the night (not likely), it can be purchased in person at the store on Saturday. All online orders will be processed first thing on Saturday morning and will be available for pick up any time after noon. Once you have made your purchase online, we will hold it for up to 3 weeks to give all of our customers ample time to get it from us but we would appreciate your picking it up ASAP so it isn’t hanging around, tempting us. Lol
