Domaine de Montrieux’s ‘Grand Gousier’ is made from 120 year old vines of pineu d’aunis, a light, peppery red grape from the Loire that marries the juiciness of pinot with the earthiness of cabernet franc. This red spends some extra time aging in old oak barrels, so it’s more velvety than most, without missing out on the grape's wild florals and tanginess.
