Chateauneuf du Pape

Chateauneuf du Pape is a terrific option for holiday dinners or gift giving and the 2015, 2016 and 2017 vintages are particularly special.

The 2015 wines were the beneficiaries of great weather during the growing season and a great harvest.  The wines are rich, plush, ripe, fruity and pure. There is an elegance to the textures and a lush, sensuous character in the palate that really hits the spot. 

The 2016 vintage was one of the great vintages for Chateauneuf du Pape, easily the best since the great 2010 vintage.

Although the 2017 vintage was not quite as special as 2016, it is impressive in its own right and produced some fabulous wines. 

Chateauneuf du Pape pairs perfectly with slow roasted meats such as turkey and prime rib.  These wines are great options for your 2020 holiday dinners, but most could also be stored and opened 20-25 years into the future.
